shimano-saragosa-spinning-reel-copy
Shimano-Stella SWC Spinning Reel

Stella SW has always led the fishing world in durability, power and operability. The new Stella SW builds on that tradition and brings unmatched strength, reliability and ease of use to serious saltwater anglers. Featuring a HAGANE Body, Stella SW boasts a highly rigid metal construction for improved impact resistance and less body flex. At the heart of the reel, state of the art HAGANE Gears are cold-forged for lasting durability and smoothness. Infinity Drive Technology offers an improved winding experience, optimizing winding torque by up to 30%. SilentDrive further improves smoothness by eliminating worm shaft and drive gear play. Stella SW incorporates a new Shimano Heatsink Drag to improves performance by transferring heat away from the spool, reducing the spool-surface temperature by up to 100 degrees. X-Protect and X-Shield ensure your investment is guarded against the harsh elements of a saltwater environment so you can fish with confidence. The new Stella SW is lighter, more powerful and more reliable than ever before.

FEATURES

HAGANE Body- The HAGANE Body is a metal reel body with high rigidity. The body rigidity and impact resistance virtually eliminates body flexing on the reel while fighting fish. The result transforms the angler's actions directly into cranking power, increasing efficiency through strength.

HAGANE Gear- With amazing strength and durability, the HAGANE Gear is at the very heart of most Shimano reels. Shimano, through the application of state-of-the-art technologies, gives anglers the long-lasting smoothness and pleasure that is felt when anglers first use a reel, over and over again. No cutting work is applied to the teeth of the drive gear during fabrication, instead the entire surface is calculated in minute detail by special 3D-design and then formed by Shimano's cold-forging technology. The result is assured resilience. HAGANE Gear is the fruit of Shimano's inexhaustible pursuit for durability — the strength and power of forged metal continues to represent the fundamental concept of Shimano reels.

X-Rigid Gear- The X-Rigid Gear was born to win the challenge against tough saltwater species and lies at the heart of Stella SW.The thickness and rigidity of the reborn main gear are obvious to the naked eye with a 20% increase in thickness. In addition, a special surface treatment is applied to achieve durability of up to 138% compared to conventional products.

Propulsion Line Management System- The most obvious component of the Propulsion Line Management System is the new Propulsion Spool Lip design. Through tens of thousands of casting tests and computer simulations, Shimano’s new spool lip design provides longer casting distances than a standard spool lip design while also preventing backlashes and wind knots from forming.

X-Rigid Rotor- The shape and thickness of the aluminum rotor creates high rigidity that results in more fish fighting power. The increased mass of the aluminum rotor generates more inertia and results in easier fishing of heavy jigs and high-resistance lures.

X-Rigid Handle-The X-Rigid Handle is a new cold-forged aluminum handle that has a 35% increase in rigidity versus previous versions and results in more power under heavy load. The new one-piece shaft cover incorporates an aluminum outer shell and stainless-steel core. This new configuration allows the shaft casing to thoroughly and accurately encase the top of the handle shank, resulting in increased rigidity of the entire handle.

X-Rigid Bail- X-Rigid Bail uses a large diameter titanium alloy wire loop to increase the overall hardness of the bail. In addition to excellent toughness and impact resistance, titanium alloy materials bring unparalleled lightweight and corrosion resistance.

One-Piece Bail (Titanium)
X-Ship
X-Protect
X-Shield
Rigid Support Drag
X-Tough Drag (except 4000)
Heatsink Drag (10000-30000)
Cross Carbon Drag
Waterproof Drag
Infinity Drive: Reduces rotational resistance up to 30% compared to the conventional model.
SilentDrive
Aero Wrap II
DLC Line Roller: A line roller with a special surface treatment (diamond-like carbon).
